The Indian Registry Administrator reports directly to the First Nation, seeks advice from the regional office of Aboriginal Affairs & Northern Development Canada (AANDC) and reports functionally to the Indian Registrar. The main role of the IRA is to assist the Indian Registrar in maintaining the integrity of information contained within the Indian Register and engage in activities/events to achieve those measures. They are also responsible for administering member services programs such as the Band Member Allotment Program, Funeral Assistance Program as well assisting with Income Tax returns
